About DDP

When Daniella was three, her mom, Elisa Dela Peña, took the chance of bringing her outgoing daughter to a casting for a children's agency. There were many children eager to get their chance in front of the camera and become the next face of a big commercial. To her mom's surprise, Daniella was not one of them. In fact, (according to Elisa) she cried the entire time trying her best to get out of the situation. One may even say it was the first spark to her acting career.

Fast forward many years later, Daniella Dela Peña is an actress, singer, multifaceted teacher, and full-time dreamer. Figuratively, DDP is a one woman mariachi band with a plethora of interests within the entertainment industry. Whether she is on camera, on stage, or behind the scenes, Dela Peña strives to inspire children and FIlipinx-Canadians to discover their artistic potential. Recently, she has done so through her ‘Artista For A Day’ workshop at Pinoys on Parliament 2024. 

She is best known for her work on the gay vampire series ‘Ezra’ and plays Gwen Garcia: a Filipina goth-girl-gone-trendy, now streaming on Amazon Prime and Apple TV. Daniella has also starred in commercials for Hyundai, Best Buy, Jollibee, and more. But at the end of the day, she’s just a girl who loves the colour pink and her dog, Nala.
